Help Us Hear From Local People And Get ££ For Your Community Group
Pride in Place for Mixenden and Illingworth, are launching a programme of community engagement to help shape the Neighbourhood Plan and future investment.
This August the Neighbourhood Board want to hear from as many local people as possible about:
- What they value about the area
- What they would like to see improved
- What already works well
- What they hope the future of the area looks like
We know that local community organisations and groups have trusted relationships with residents that can help us reach people whose voices may not otherwise be heard.
Can You Help?
The Pride in Place Engagement Toolkit includes:
- Simple guidance on how to facilitate conversations
- Core questions and engagement activities
- Templates for recording and submitting feedback
- Guidance on privacy, consent and safeguarding
The toolkit is designed to be flexible. You can use it within existing meetings, activities, sessions and events, and you do not need any previous engagement experience. We would love your support in helping us hear from local people and ensure community voices are at the heart of Pride in Place.
All feedback you collect will contribute to a shared evidence base that will help the Neighbourhood Board understand local priorities and develop the Neighbourhood Plan.
The toolkit is available to open as a PDF below.
Community Listening Incentive Scheme
To support community-led engagement, participating organisations may be eligible for a £50 cash payment for each completed engagement activity. Further information is included in the Toolkit.
If you would like to participate or discuss how your organisation could get involved, please contact the Programme Team by emailing inclusive.economy@calderdale.gov.uk.
