Evaluation of Calderdale's Warm Spaces Provision 2022 to 2023

About Warm Spaces
Warm Spaces are also known as Warm Hubs. They aim to be safe and inclusive places or rooms where people can go to keep warm in winter.
They are also intended to encourage community building and social connection with those accessing the spaces.
Warm Spaces have been designed to be used by those that can benefit the most. However, they are open to everyone.
Evaluating Calderdale's Warm Spaces provision
Calderdale Council worked with Leeds Beckett University to measure the impact of the Warm Spaces provision in Calderdale. It assessed:

- The potential for impact on the health and wellbeing of the population (including social determinants of health).
- The potential for impact on health inequalities.
The evaluation covered the period of winter 2022 to 2023. It consisted of a mixed methods approach. This included:
- interviews
- focus groups
- a survey
- routine data monitoring
