Calderdale Vision 34 Annual Residents Survey

Share your views on Calderdale’s Vision 34 and be in with a chance to win some great prizes! Read on to find out more and take part.

What is Vision 34?

  • It is a long-term ambition to work towards making Calderdale better for everyone by 2034.
  • It connects us all as one place.
  • It gives us a shared direction, shared values, shared stories and a sense of belonging.
  • It has been built by over 1000 local people from all walks of life.


What does Vision 34 want to achieve by 2034?

  • Calderdale will be an enterprising place, full of opportunity, where we can all live a larger life.
  • We will always be kind and welcoming.
  • Everyone will have reason to be full of hope and this will enable us to thrive and get us through testing times.
  • We will be celebrated for our distinctive heritage, nature and creativity that everyone can enjoy.

How to share your views

Help us to measure our progress towards Vision 34.

  • Share your views online by choosing the button marked "Take the survey". This is a green button on the top right of your screen on a laptop or PC or a white button at the bottom of your screen on a mobile phone.
  • You do not need to log in or create an account to take part.
  • The survey should take about 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
  • Other ways to share your views are listed at the bottom of this page.
  • The consultation will close at midnight on 30 January 2026.


Prize draw

If you complete the survey, you have the choice to enter our prize draw. You can win one of the following prizes:

  • Victoria Theatre Halifax tickets (one prize), with a choice of: 4 tickets to a Friday night comedy club or 4 tickets to Brighouse and Rastrick brass band in September 2026 or a family ticket to Aladdin in winter 2026.
  • 1 x three-month membership for either Brighouse, Sowerby Bridge or Todmorden sports and leisure centres.
  • 1 x family ticket to Shibden Hall, Halifax (open March - October 2026).

Winners will be notified by 13 February 2026.


How we manage your data

  • Responses will be collected and processed by Calderdale Council in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. For information, view our privacy notice.
  • If you choose to share your contact details in the prize draw, your survey responses will be separated from your contact details. We will not use your contact details to identify your survey responses.
